While other news organizations enjoyed the holiday break, your news team at the Enterprise worked through the weekend, night and day, to keep you informed about weather conditions.
That’s what we do at the Malheur Enterprise – deliver important news and updates.
We made some of our coverage free, meaning you didn’t have to be a paying subscriber to get the information. Your safety, the community’s safety, takes priority at times like this.
That said, we do get asked why people can’t read all of our stories for free. The answer is basic business. If we don’t charge for our work, we couldn’t pay our reporters and the full staff supporting the Enterprise. The Enterprise would not exist.
We keep our rates affordable. The cost to get every story we do for an entire month is $7.50. You can’t buy a single edible hamburger for that.
Our competitor charges far higher rates and mostly delivers canned press releases and news from all over.
We work hard to earn your trust – and your support. We dearly appreciate every single subscriber. The work in recent days to alert you to weather conditions, schools staying shut and highway closures is the type of journalism no one else provides you in Malheur County.
Not a subscriber yet? Please sign up today – subscribers are crucial to our ability to deliver the kind of news that just wouldn’t get done without the Enterprise.
Meantime, here’s the latest the stories produced by your local award-winning journalists. You can always find all of our stories on our website anytime.
