Nyssa administrator named as a finalist in Jefferson schools superintendent opening

JEFFERSON – The Jefferson School Board has identified four candidates for the school district’s next superintendent opening, one of which is a current administrator at the Nyssa School District. 

Ryan Hawkins, director of district operations at Nyssa School District, was selected as one of the finalists for the top administrative post at the Jefferson School District. 

Hawkins, who holds a master’s degree from George Fox University in educational administration, has worked for Nyssa schools since 2016. Prior to that, he held jobs for 12 years as a high school principal, assistant principal and elementary/middle school teacher in schools at Lincoln County, McMinnville and Sumner, WA.
