Don’t miss these local news stories

Good morning…..

Small business in Malheur County has to be nimble and alert to survive in today’s economy.

The owners of downtown Ontario businesses seem tireless in finding ways to get people to take a look. That sure was true last weekend with the Sasquatch scavenger hunt.

People from all over the area flowed along Oregon Street. Kids seemed to be having a ball looking for clues, trailed by parents who might otherwise never have been in Grant’s Shoes or Vintage Rose.

Merchants in Vale have the same ambition. Moonlight Madness, the annual holiday sale, is perhaps the best example of businesses working as one.

Such events are part of the lure of life in Malheur County and our team will always be on the lookout to help get the word out so maybe you, too, can meet a business owner who’s eager to get you a good product or deliver a service in a way that will keep you coming back.
