Roads between Vale and Ontario may be impacted by high waters as the Malheur River continues to rise, according to a flood warning issued early Tuesday. U.S. Highway 20 remains closed between Harper and Juntura because of flooding.
A winter storm warning in place for Malheur County is scheduled to end by 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 14, as snow fall and temperatures ease up.
Whiteout conditions could develop in areas of Malheur County as a winter storm rolls in Thursday, according to the National Weather Service. Up to 6 inches of snow is forecast for the Ontario area.
Vale residents can apply for appointment to a seat on the Vale City Council. Applicants have to be registered voters and residents of the city for the past 12 months
With an anonymous gift, city of Vale will provide free access to pool on hot days. The donor is a former Vale resident.
