Nyssa News: Get ready for Bulldog paws, discount cards

The Nyssa Elementary Parent Teacher Organization will be selling Bulldog Cards again this year as its spring fundraiser.

The cards, which offer discounts at local businesses, will sell for $20 per card with discounts listed worth much more. If you are interested in purchasing one you can find a student who is selling them or email [email protected].

Students will be rewarded for sales of cards and donations. Prize levels include scratch off tickets, a movie at the high school auditorium, a drawing for some BIG prizes, and a day as principal and lunch with Resource Officer Rodriguez. The top seller will win a pass for two at Wahooz!

If you want to support students in earning prizes but do not want to purchase a card, $10 cash donations are accepted! The fundraiser will run March 9-20.

Also happening this spring is another round of Drive for School Spirit. PTO volunteers will paint a bulldog paw or N on your driveway or sidewalk. Each print is $25. Watch for updates regarding paint dates on the PTO Facebook page.

This fundraiser will be mid-April or the first of May. Fliers will be sent home with students and available at Nyssa City Hall, or contact the PTO at [email protected] for information.

The proceeds help pay for field trips, classroom supplies, reward parties, playground equipment and more at Nyssa Elementary.
