Vale School District #84 is inviting qualified individuals to apply for the Mechanic/Transportation Assistant position. The Mechanic/Transportation Assistant works in close association with drivers, the Transportation Supervisor and maintenance and grounds staff to ensure proper care and maintenance of District vehicles. This position involves working on-site at the Transportation Department, other District sites, and transporting buses and students, as needed. Compensation is based on negotiated agreement. The position also offers personal and sick paid leave, an insurance contribution, and is PERS eligible. The individual is eligible to earn vacation leave after one year of service. Employees who complete the contract year may also be eligible for a retention incentive in June of 2023.
