Successful Hero Day event provides supplies for Nyssa classes

NYSSA – On Monday, Aug. 19, Jewell Maine and Susan Barton delivered the bounty from a successful Hero Day to the three schools in the Nyssa School District.

Boxes of school supplies were welcomed at each site.

Held on August 6, Hero Day saw community members coming together to honor Nyssa School District teachers with an evening of music, food, games and time to visit. People brought school supplies to donate and the sale of hot dogs and popcorn provided funds to buy more. Along with three . . .
