Vale gears up for Moonlight Madness, water plant open house and trap shoot

VALE – The City of Vale will hold an open house from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday at the new water treatment plant building behind the airport at 3654 Airport Road. 

A ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the completion of the city’s water project will be at noon at the new water treatment plant building. 

• Luzetta’s Flowers and Gifts will hold a holiday open house from 6 to 11 p.m. Friday, with specials and door prizes. The event is part of the Moonlight Madness local shopping promotion throughout downtown Vale.

• St. Patrick Catholic Church Altar Society will hold its Moonlight Madness Bazaar this Friday and Saturday, 690 A St. W. in Vale.

The event will offer baked goods, crafts and an array of vendor booths. 

Hours are 6 to 10 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. There will be cinnamon rolls and desserts Friday night, and soups and more on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

• The Malheur Gun Club is hosting a Trap Shoot on Sunday at the Vale Airport. The event starts at 11 a.m., and all are welcome. There will be meat prizes.
