VALE – Oregon Rep. Lynn Findley wants to connect with constituents.

That is why he said he is excited about his new digs currently under construction at 151 Court Street in Vale.

“I just wanted an office in the district and I live in Vale. It has been a struggle to find a good location but I have a great location,” said Findley.

The former Vale City manager who now serves Oregon’s District 60 in Salem, said he hopes to be able to open his office within the next week. He planned to open Friday, but construction delays pushed the date back.

Findley, who just finished up his first session in the Oregon House, said Tuesday that he is excited about the new office.

Findley represents Grant, Baker, Harney, Malheur counties and part of Lake County.

Findley said his office in Vale will serve as a clearing house of informational and provide voters with an easy way to provide feedback. That is especially important, Findley said, because he is on the road a lot.

“I put 12,000 miles on my rig in the last month and a half. Last week I was in Burns, then John Day and Pendleton,” said Findley.

Findley said the office will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Findley encouraged voters to stop and check out the office.

“We are doing some good things for people,” said Findley.

Findley said while he on the road a lot it is essential he interact with voters across his district.

“The good thing is the people you meet and you reach out and they help you make decisions,” said Findley.

Voters can reach the new office at 541-473-4029.
