Breakfast with Santa delivers cheer, gifts and a good meal

Mischief was afoot at Breakfast with Santa in Ontario.

Scattered among the dining tables at the Ontario Elks on Friday, Dec. 2, were snowballs made of soft material and with internal lights that blinked in holiday colors.

What else to do with snowballs but get in a snowball fight?

From table to table, from kid to adult, and adult to adult, the snowballs were but one element of the annual event hosted by the Ontario Area Chamber of Commerce.

Holiday decorations brightened the place. A corps of Ontario High School cheerleaders helped dish up the hot breakfast made by the rolls. And the Winter Wonderland Parade court put in duty, delivering holiday gifts brought by guests and given back out to those with the right numbers on their tickets.

Santa was there, of course, but no one dared hit him with a snowball.
