Vale seeking new city manager

VALE – Vale City Manager Katy Lamb will retire at the end of February after serving two years in the position. 

Lamb made the announcement at a recent City Council meeting, saying she decided to retire at the same time as her husband. The city is advertising for her replacement.

Lamb is a native of Elko, Nevada, and she came to Vale after marrying Scott Lamb. They have been married for 40 years. 

Lamb and her husband raised a family of five, and she worked for Nichols Accounting Groups before becoming the city’s bookkeeper beginning in 2014. 

Lamb’s appointment in 2018 made her the third city manager in six months.
