ONTARIO – Ontario police say they are investigating as a homicide the death of a man found on the front porch of an Ontario home Sunday.

The Ontario Police Department said the body of the 56-year-old man, whose name it was withholding, was found at a home in the 200 block of Northeast Second Street when police responded around 6 p.m.

The victim, believed to be from Ontario, had “traumatic injuries to his face and neck,” the agency’s statement said.

The investigation into the man’s death is active and the Oregon State Police, the Nyssa Police Department, and the Malheur County Sheriff’s Office are aiding.

Currently no suspects have been identified, police said.

Ontario police ask that anyone with information on the murder call 541-881-3200 or 541-473-5125.
