Drummon Basin fire nearly contained

MALHEUR COUNTY - Vale BLM crews expect to contain the 2,400-acre Drummond Basin Fire today.

The Malheur County blaze, burning five miles south of Three Forks in the Owyhee Canyon wilderness study area, started from a lightning strike Tuesday.

Crews are starting to extinguish or remove burning material from the 37-acre Anderson Crossing Fire, 10 miles northeast of McDermitt, Nevada.
