Fair Housing Resolution

LET IT BE KNOWN TO ALL PERSONS of the City of Vale that discrimination in the sale, rental, lease, advertising of sale, rental or lease, financing of housing or land to be used for construction of housing, or in the provision of brokerage or rental services because of race, color, religion, sex, disability (physical or mental), familial status (children) or national origin is prohibited by Title VIII of the federal Fair Housing Amendments Act of 1988. It is the policy of the City of Vale to support the Fair Housing Amendments Act of 1988 and to implement a Fair Housing Program to ensure equal opportunity in housing for all persons regardless of race, color, religion, sex, disability (physical and mental) familial status (1.children, and 2.actual or perceived sexual orientation, gender identity or marital status or its members), or national origin. Therefore the City does hereby pass the following Resolution:

BE IT RESOLVED that within the resources available to the City thorugh city, county, state, federal and community volunteer sources, the City/County will assist all persons who feel they have been discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, disability (physical and mental), familial status (children) or national origin in the process of filing a complaint with the Oregon Civil Rights Division or the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Seattle Regional Office Compliance Division, that they may seek equity under federal and state laws.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City shall publicize this Resolution and through this publicity shall cause real estate brokers and sellers, private home sellers, rental owners, rental property managers, real estate and rental advertisers, lenders, builders, developers, home buyers and home or apartment renters to become aware of their respective responsibilities and rights under the Fair Housing Amendments Act of 1988 and any applicable state or local laws or ordinances.

THE FAIR HOUSING PROGRAM, for the purpose of informing those affected of their respective responsibilities and rights concerning Fair Housing law and complaint procedures, will at a minimum include, but not be limited to: 1) the printing, publicizing and distribution of this Resolution; 2) the distribution of posters, flyers, pamphlets and other applicable Fair Housing information provided by local, state and federal sources, through local media of community contacts; and 3) the publicizing of locations where assistance will be provided to those seeking to file a discrimination complaint.

EFFECTIVE DATE

This Resolution shall take effect: 12 day of April, 2022

QUE SEA CONOCIDO A TODAS LAS PERSONAS de la Ciudad de Vale que la discriminación en la venta, alquiler, arrendamiento, publicidad de venta, alquiler o arrendamiento, financiamiento de vivienda o terreno para ser utilizado para la construcción de vivienda o en la provisión de intermediación o servicios de alquiler por motivos de raza, color, religión, sexo, discapacidad (física o mental), estado familiar (niños) u origen nacional están prohibidos por el Título VIII de la Ley federal de Enmiendas de Vivienda Justa de 1988. Es la política de la Ciudad de Vale apoyar la Ley de Enmiendas de Vivienda Justa de 1988 y para implementar un Programa de Vivienda Justa para garantizar la igualdad de oportunidades en la vivienda para todas las personas independientemente de su raza, color, religión, sexo, discapacidad (física o mental), estado familiar (1. Niños y 2. Orientación sexual, identidad de género o estado civil real o percibido o sus miembros) u origen nacional. Por lo tanto, la Ciudad de Vale aprueba la siguiente Resolución:

SE RESUELVE que dentro de los recursos disponibles para la Ciudad de Vale a través de la ciudad, el Condado, el estado, recursos voluntarios federales y comunitarios, la ciudad/condado ayudará a todas las personas que sientan que han sido discriminadas debido a su raza, color, religión, sexo, discapacidad (física y mental), estado familiar (niños) u origen nacional en el proceso de presentación de una queja ante la División de Derechos Civiles de Oregon o el Departamento de Vivienda y Desarrollo Urbano de EE. UU., División de Cumplimiento de la Oficina Regional de Seattle, pueden buscar equidad bajo las leyes federales y estatales .

SE RESUELVE ADEMÁS que la Ciudad hará pública esta Resolución y, a través de esta publicidad, hará que los agentes de bienes raíces, vendedores privados de casas, propietarios de alquileres,

administradores de propiedades de alquiler, anunciantes de bienes raíces y de alquiler, prestamistas, constructores, desarrolladores, compradores de viviendas y los inquilinos de apartamentos y casas para conocer sus respectivas responsabilidades y derechos bajo la Ley de Enmiendas de Vivienda Justa de 1988 y cualquier ley y ordenanza estatal o local aplicable.

EL PROGRAMA DE VIVIENDA JUSTA, con el propósito de informar a los afectados de sus respectivas responsabilidades y derechos con respecto a la ley de Vivienda Justa y los procedimientos de quejas, incluirá como mínimo, pero no se limitará a: 1) la impresión, publicidad y distribución de esta Resolución; 2) la distribución de carteles, volantes, panfletos y otra información de Vivienda Justa aplicable proporcionada por fuentes locales, estatales y federales, a través de los medios locales de contactos comunitarios; y 3) la publicidad de los lugares donde se brindará asistencia a quienes deseen presentar una queja por discriminación.

Statewide Transportation Improvement (STIF)

2023-2025 Formula Fund Cycle 

Public Transportation Service Providers (PTSPs) are hereby notified that Malheur County is currently accepting applications for the 2023-2025 Statewide Transportation Improvement Fund (STIF) Fund cycle.

Interested PTSPs (see definition found OAR 732-040-005) who are eligible, shall complete the STIF Plan Template available online at the following link: https://www.cognitoforms.com/ODOT2/subrecipientprojectapplication202325

Completed STIF Plan templates must be submitted to Malheur Council on Aging & Community Services by 5:00 pm on December 19, 2022. Applications will be reviewed and ranked by the Malheur County STIF Advisory Committee in accordance with Malheur County STIF Advisory Committee Bylaws and Oregon Administrative Rules. The Advisory Committee will make a recommendation to the Malheur County Court, who will determine the final selection of projects to be included in the 2023-2025 STIF Plan.
