IT business opens, paw prints coming to town

• Last week’s column contained information about two new businesses in Nyssa. It’s exciting this week to let you know of a third new business now open.

Paloma Computers recently opened at 12 N. 3rd St. Owner John Palomarez offers printing, phone, computer, server set up, networking and surveillance cameras. His equipment overall is designed for businesses however he also provides personal computer set up and repairs, including house calls.

John’s background in the information technology field began in 2007 and has included working with companies serving both large and small systems. While large and small systems require a different set up as well as different problems, John’s primary goal is to “personalize IT.” Coming soon to the office is a Virtual Reality system, a teaching tool with 150 learning applications from undersea to space exploration. The cost will be based on the time frame of the program/learning exercise.

• Don’t forget the Nyssa PTO “Drive for School Spirit – Paw and N” painting coming in September. Order forms are available at Nyssa Elementary School and Umpqua Bank. The cost is $25 for either a “paw” or an “N”. The deadline for orders is Sept. 9.

• Bulldog fall sports – football, volleyball, cross country and soccer – all are underway this week. Check out the sports schedule and support the home team! Thank you to all the advertisers who make it possible to print the fall sports schedule in the Enterprise.
