• BANQUET: Vale Alumni Association banquet tickets are on sale now.
The banquet is set for Oct. 26 at Four Rivers Cultural Center beginning at 5 p.m. with happy hour and dinner at 6 p.m.

• FILM CLASS: A crash course in filmmaking is set for Wednesday, Sept. 4, at the Rex Theater in Vale.
The free class, offered by the Drexel H. Foundation, will run from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
Participants will shoot their own movies, and learn about green screen technologies. The resulting film will be featured at the Children’s Film Festival on Sept. 14.
