Mine Mechanic EP Minerals is currently taking applications for a mine mechanic position located at our Drewsey, Oregon mine site. The responsibilities include but are not limited to: •Safe work practices. •Fulfill preventative maintenance program requirements. •Perform general maintenance and inspection of brakes, drive lines, tires, engines, fluid systems and frames. •Perform PM’s on a set preventative maintenance schedule. •Keep records as required. •Examines protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks, excavators, bulldozers, and all other support equipment including travel trailers. •Sample fluids. •Fueling and lubrication of equipment. •Work as a Load and Haul mechanic as required. •Order parts, oil, fuel and supplies to maintain productivity. Other requirements: •High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience; and two plus years of heavy equipment maintenance experience. •CDL license, doubles, tanker endorsement, or ability to obtain one. •Strong technical and troubleshooting skills. Electrical; Hydraulic; Pneumatic; Powertrain; brakes; electronics •Ability to communicate effectively; written and oral. •Work with limited or no direct supervision. The City of Vale Oregon is recruiting for a City Manager. Vale is the County Seat for Malheur County with a population of 1865. The City of Vale has nine full time and 40-part time employees with a 6-million-dollar budget. The ideal candidate would be highly motivated, creative, proactive and forward-thinking visionary. The new City Manager will provide clear direction for staff. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to work on a variety of complex issues while focusing on quality customer service. Four-year college degree required, preferably in Public Administration or a related field, or a combination of the education and experience. Progressively responsible management experience including public relations, personnel management, budgeting, grant writing, project supervision, economic development/land use planning and intergovernmental relations.
