VALE – Extremely dry conditions have prompted a burn ban in Malheur County effective July 19, 2019 and will continue until further notice.

The ban includes lands within local or rural fire districts and also prohibits all open burning and burn barrels. Agricultural burning is exempt from the ban, but must be issued a permit by a local fire department and is subject to strict guidelines.
