Crash damages school property in Willowcreek

WILLOWCREEK – Oregon State Police responded to a single vehicle non-injury crash Monday, July 8 at 8:41 p.m. on US Hwy 26 at mile post 266. 

The Oregon State Police said Nathan Rounds, 33, was impaired when he crashed his 2001 silver Chrysler Town and Country van. The crash damaged a fence and basketball pole across at Willowcreek Elementary. 

Rounds refused a breathalyzer test and a warrant was granted for a blood sample, according to police. 

Rounds was booked into the county jail and charged with reckless driving, probation violation, and a DUI.
