Looking for something to do in Malheur County this month?

SNOW WHITE: A little touch of Disney will fill the Four Rivers Cultural Center Saturday when the Missoula Children’s Theatre presents “Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs.”

Performances of the play are scheduled at 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 for all ages.

The two performances cap a weeklong summer theatre camp at the cultural center and 64 local youth will participate in the two plays. To purchase tickets online, visit the center’s website at www.4rcc.com.

Four Rivers Cultural Center is at 676 S.W. 5th Ave. in Ontario.

• PARADISE: It will be “5 O’Clock Somewhere in Paradise” this Friday at Four Rivers Cultural Center, with an island-flavored dinner, floral leis, and Fran Halcom’s famous coconut macaroons. The event will be in the Japanese Garden, and is a fundraiser for educational and art programs offered at the center.

Tickets cost $25. The fun starts not at 5, but at 7 p.m.

• OBON: The Idaho-Oregon Buddhist Temple in Ontario celebrates Saturday, July 20, with its 73rd annual Japan Nite Obon Festival. The event, at Four Rivers Cultural Center, offers a dinner featuring tasty Bento boxes of traditional foods. There is a display and question and answer session from 4 to 5 p.m. Dinner is served from 4 p.m. on, with takeout available.

There will be performances, a kimono demonstration, and drawings for cash prizes. Free lessons in odori folk dancing will begin at 7 p.m.
