Carnival, dance, summer festivities in Vale

VALE – El Campo, a fundraiser for Vale Youth Baseball, is set for 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 7, at the Vale Fire Hall, 950 Hope St.

Plans call for carnival games, prizes, refreshments and more, with tickets for 50 cents apiece.

• The Vale Senior Center swings into June with its slate of weekly activities, including cards from 9 a.m. to noon Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and potluck and pinochle on Friday evenings. The center serves mid-day meals Monday and Wednesday. 

The board meets at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 10, and has a dance on Saturday, June 15, from 6 to 9 p.m. 

• Valley View Cemetery officials remind the public that flowers set out for Memorial Day observances must be removed from gravesites by 9 p.m. this Sunday. 

• Willowcreek Community Church is inviting all children age 3 through sixth grade to Vacation Bible School, May 29-30, at the church. Hours are 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
