• Restoration plans for the old First Bank in Vale will be the topic at this week’s meeting of the Malheur Country Historical Society.

Steve Trout of Trout Architects in Boise will speak to the group about the project for the bank building, which is on the National Historic Register. 

The meeting will be in Room 110, Weese Building, on the Treasure Valley Community College campus in Ontario. Lunch is available at 11:30 with the speaker to start at noon.

• May Roberts Elementary School will hold a Nacho Feed and silent auction on Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 and kids under 3 are free. Tickets can be purchased in advance at May Roberts Elementary or at the door.

• Color Me Happy, a benefit for the Treasure Valley Children’s Relief Nursery, is set for 6 p.m. Friday at the Four Rivers Cultural Center in Ontario.

The event will include a tri-tip dinner, entertainment and an auction where attendees can bid on vacation packages and more. Tickets cost $30, and the event is for ages 21 and older.

• The Treasure Valley Symphony presents an evening of pops music Friday, May 17, at Four Rivers Cultural Center. The show is at 7:30 p.m. in the Meyer-McLean Theatre. Admission is $10, and tickets are available at the door. The proceeds benefit TVCC music students.
