NYSSA – Hurrah! The Nyssa Senior Center is preparing for the first yard and bake sale of the year, to be held March 8 and 9 at 316 Good Ave.
Come and check out all the new items in the sale, plus yummy baked goods. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Senior Center monthly meeting and pot luck will be held Wednesday, March 13. The meeting is at 11 a.m. with the potluck following. Additional events include bingo each Tuesday at 10 a.m. followed by lunch at noon. Each Thursday, there is lunch at noon and Senior Game Night at 6:30 p.m.
• Nyssa schools will be busy next week with an all-day band festival on March 13 at the high school auditorium. Friday is the Malheur County Spelling Bee at Nyssa Elementary School starting at 8:30 a.m. Both events are open to the public. This is your opportunity to support our students.
