VALE – The Vale Senior Center will hold a dance this Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. The Town and Country Band will play.

Admission is $6, and the event will include a potluck meal.

The center, at 100 Longfellow St. S., also offers midday meals at 12 noon each Monday and Wednesday; card games from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday; and pinochle at 6 p.m. on Friday, with a potluck during that session.

• The Malheur Gun Club will have a shoot at 11 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 17. The club is at 1158 Airport Road.

Vale High School senior Breyden Lande is hosting a baseball and softball equipment drive for his senior project. He’ll take donations of unwanted gear from 12 to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 2, at Logan’s Market parking lot.

The drive is in collaboration with Vale Youth Baseball. The equipment will be cleaned, sanitized and given to youngsters in the program who can’t afford to purchase their own gear.

Anyone who wants to donate but can’t make it at that time can call Lande at 541-212-6431 for pickup. Donation jars also are available at local businesses.
