It’s time to dance at the Nyssa Senior Citizen Center

NYSSA – Nyssa Senior Citizens have a full slate of activities for area seniors starting this Saturday, with their monthly dance from 6 to 9 p.m.

The Dale Borge Band will provide the tunes and the cost is $5. Participants are asked to bring finger food to share.

Tuesday, Feb. 5, there will be bingo at 10 a.m. and the monthly foot clinic will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Every Thursday is Senior Game Night starting at 6 p.m. Come on in for a fun evening visiting and playing a variety of games.

• The Nyssa Public Library offers Storytime every Tuesday at 11 a.m. This is a great learning time for preschool and younger children, with music, reading and fun activities.

Science is Fun takes place at 3:15 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month. On Thursday, Feb. 7, there will be a Valentine’s Day card-making activity at 5 p.m.

For those interested in learning to embroider, stop by and view the two sample embroidery pieces on display. An embroidery class will be held at 2 p.m. Feb. 23. The cost is $2 if you bring your own hoop, or $3 if you need to purchase a hoop.

Sign up at the library to participate in the class.
