NYSSA -- Congratulations to the Nyssa Bulldogs football team (and all the Eastern Oregon teams) on their victory in the state playoffs. A great group of Bulldog fans went to Willamina to cheer for the team.

• There will be a breakfast Saturday at the Nyssa Senior Citizens Center which will be free for area veterans. The cost for those who want to dine with our veterans is $5 for adults and $3 for kids under age 8. 

The menu includes pancakes, sausage, biscuits & gravy, coffee, milk and orange juice. 

Celebrate Veterans Day with a delicious breakfast.

Nyssa Floral will hold its annual open house from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. There will be door prizes and refreshments galore.

Nyssa City Council meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, in the council chambers, on the second floor of the old city hall. The public is welcome to attend and learn about what’s happening in our city.

• The Nyssa Senior Citizens will hold their Thanksgiving Potluck at noon Wednesday, Nov. 14. Meat and potatoes will be provided. Attendees are asked to bring side dishes, salads and desserts.
