VALE – Vale High School started its Wild West-themed homecoming week, which includes dress up days, dodgeball, a parade and a community assembly

On Monday, students came to school dressed up as their favorite meme and later changed into team outfits for the school’s annual dodgeball tournament in the evening. The tournament ended with victory for the senior boys and junior girls.

For each day of the week, teachers and staff keep score of the number of students that dress up. The class with the most students who dressed up, the more points they get.

Dress up days for the rest of the week include: “American Day,” “Wild West Day,” “Why is this in my closet? Day” and “Black and White Day.”

Friday will be the biggest day of homecoming festivities. The school will host a noise parade at 5:45 p.m. to promote school spirit just before the football game, which will kick off at 7 p.m. against Weiser.

Graduates from several classes will be in town to help celebrate. This weekend’s reunions include a gathering of the Class of 1958, while the Class of 1973 will follow up with festivities Sept. 21-23.
