Nyssa Nite Rodeo, parade, events a great success

Members of the Owyhee Riding Club greet the spectators who turned out for the parade last week.

Thank you to the Nyssa Nite Rodeo Board and all the volunteers associated with the rodeo for their hard work in continuing a great Nyssa tradition.

And congratulations to the 2019 Nyssa Nite Rodeo Queen Brogan Bair!

• If you missed the Buckaroos Breakfast last Saturday, you missed not only a great meal but also a fun time to visit with others in attendance.

Organizer Mary Shelton said they served more than 100 people, and she was pleased with the great turnout. Proceeds support the Nyssa Senior Citizens Center and the Nyssa Community Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. Mary credited the volunteers, saying, “I can’t do it without them.”

Another breakfast will be served on Saturday, July 14, during Thunderegg Days. The meal will again be at the Nyssa Senior Center from 7-11 a.m.

• The Nyssa Senior Center presents the Blue Mountain Fiddlers on Saturday, June 30, starting at 6 p.m. Admission is $5. At 5 p.m. there will be a supper of sandwiches, salads and dessert available for $5.
