Harper School seniors wrap up high school years

HARPER – Harper High School awarded diplomas to eight graduates last weekend in ceremonies at the school.

The Class of 2018 was led by valedictorian Nate Marker and salutatorian Hailey Joslin.

Marker, son of David Marker, is set to attend Treasure Valley Community College and hit the books hard in math and science. He wants to become a marine biologist.

At Harper, he has played football and been involved in the Travel Club and the student body.

Joslin, daughter of Shastina Joslin, plans to go to a four-year college on the East Coast and earn a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. First, however, she will enlist in the U.S. Air Force and train in Massachusetts. She wants to work in law enforcement and aspires to a career with the FBI.

At Harper, she has been involved in FFA, Drama Club, National Honor Society, and track. She has been the vice president for the FFA chapter and student body.
