Runners blasted with color for Malheur County’s children

Runners were encouraged to dress up in costume for the race.

Few went home with clean clothes, but with the chalk made from corn starch, a trip to the washing machine meant runners could wear clean shirts throughout the year showing their support.

The race was colorful right from the start line.

Along with individuals, families took advantage of the great weather to make the run.

After being blasted along the course with color, one final hit of color came at the finish line.

After the race, it was time to grab a bottle of water and relax.

Volunteers were present on the course to ensure everyone was colorful.

With the warm weather, recharging was a must after the race.

More than a few participants headed home for a shower after the event.

At the finish, the winners were the children of Malheur County receiving quality child care and the assistance provided by the Relief Nursery.
