ONTARIO – With spring break quickly approaching, the Malheur County 4-H is offering a week’s activities.
Beginning Monday, March 26, the camp will run from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
Day 1 will feature cooking skills with day two featuring Doctor Angela Allum from Vale Veterinary Clinic for an introduction to vet science. On day three, campers will learn sowing, growing and gardening while day four will be of interest to those thinking of being a scientist with experiments and fun activities related to science. The week will wrap up on day five with yoga.
Those wanting to attend must RSVP by Tuesday, March 20 to secure one of the limited spots.

Nyssa chamber puts on party for honorees
Wow! What a great event for Nyssa held last Saturday to honor Kay Riley of Snake River Produce, U-Design Embroidery owner Lisa Ortega, Ernie Harder, Jolene Zagaris and Faith Adams, the 2018 Nyssa Chamber honorees.
Congratulations to the Nyssa Chamber Board on a wonderful event.
• Nyssa Senior Citizens are excited that dances are back. The first one, with the new band, will be this Saturday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
On Tuesday, March 6, the foot clinic will be held at 8:30 a.m. The center is located at 316 Good Avenue.
• Burn days in Nyssa will be March 3-12. Burn days are for the burning of yard debris only. Remember to have water and a shovel nearby as you tend your yard debris burn pile.
