VALE – A Vale couple and two of their children remain hospitalized in Utah after the July 27 house fire that claimed the life of their son, age 8.
The Kinard family’s home on Bully Creek Road burned to the ground July 27.
Aiden Kinard, the youngest son, died from his injuries the next day.
Sue Winchester, spokeswoman for University of Utah Health Care Burn Trauma Intensive Care Unit in Salt Lake City, said Monday that 10-year old Jacob and his father, Michael, are in critical condition at the facility.
Winchester said both are expected to remain hospitalized for an extended amount of time.
The conditions of the mother, Tiffany, and her 6-year-old daughter were not available at press time.
Meanwhile, the Sagebrush Saloon and BBQ is organizing a fundraiser to help the family.
The Sept. 17 event includes a tri-tip dinner and music by the Broke Outlaws.
The event will start at 4 p.m. with music and dancing until 10 p.m.
Tickets cost $15.99 per person and are still available.
All proceeds are being donated to the family.
