Good morning…..

Fire departments from throughout the area responded on Thursday to the report of a tanker truck on fire near Love’s Travel Stop in north Ontario. Firefighters found a 61-year-old man from Idaho with severe burns and a commercial truck on fire.

We’ll have more details on this in a report later today.

Meantime, it’s a big day for high school playoffs. Vale and Harper football teams play today while Adrian is on the field Saturday. In volleyball, Adrian plays in the quarterfinals today. In cross country, Trevor Stewart and Addie Saunders compete in state competition on Saturday.

And the folks behind the Treasure Valley Reload Center got good news this week. Union Pacific Railroad approved track construction for the Nyssa project even though it wasn’t built as initially designed.

Meantime, here’s the latest the stories produced by your local award-winning journalists.
