Don’t miss these local news stories

Good morning…..

You and your family can load up on holiday parades in the coming days.

Saturday, Dec. 2, is a two-fer day. The Ontario Area Chamber of Commerce launches its holiday parade at 1 p.m. on the usual route on Southwest Fourth Avenue through downtown.

Then, hours later, the Nyssa Nite Lite parade starts to roll at 5:30 p.m.

A week later, the Vale Chamber of Commerce puts on the Vale Christmas Light Parade that starts at Vale High School and heads through the heart of town. The parade gets going at 5:30 p.m.

So, grab the kids, round up the neighbors and find a senior citizen who couldn’t ordinarily go. What better way to get into the Christmas spirit!

BROTHERS LOOKING FOR A HOME

Freddie Mercury & Lion L Richie are brothers who are a little over 1 year old. These two are a bonded pair, so they are seeking a loving forever home together.

Freddie and Lion L are some of the greatest kitties you will ever meet. They are sweet and very playful, You can’t even imagine the fun they will have once they are in a home and can run and play. They are always snuggling and playing in their cage.

Freddie Mercury is a Manx (with no tail) and Lion L Richie has the most glorious tail EVER, it’s very fluffy and fabulous. They are both such handsome boys, they will melt your heart if you just give them the chance.

They are up to date on their vaccinations and tested negative for FeLV & FIV. They are indoor cats only for their safety and no declawing is allowed.

During the month of December we have reduced our adoption fee for our bonded pairs. Kittens are $100 for two fur babies and adults over a year have an adoption fee of $60 for two . Our adoption fee for the month has also been reduced to $40 for cats 1 year and over to help find our fantastic felines their loving forever families. All of the kitties go home with a “welcome home” gift of a litter box, poop scooper, two dishes and a toy.

We want the very best for our rescue kitties and what’s better than finding their loving families?? Let’s get these kitties home for the holidays!!

Adoption event: Every Saturday between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. or by appointment at the Constance McCullough House, 84 N.W. 2nd St., Ontario.
