Happy New Year!
Dwight Keller, grand master of the annual Vale fireworks show, said the fireworks will go off from Rhinehart Butte in Vale at 7 p.m. Sunday.
Dense fog, with visibility less than a quarter of a mile, thwarted the New Year’s Eve show. Keller and other volunteers took shifts to safeguard the fireworks setup overnight to preserve the setup for the show. The Google map shows the location of the butte to pick your prime viewing spot.
The National Weather Service said winds will scour out any remaining fog and forecasts clear skies this evening.
