Nikki Albisu, district superintendent along with Jodi Elizondo, Ontario High School principal and Lisa Longoria, Ontario Middle School principal, asserted the behavior of a current and former school board member were illegal. The new information was released only after the Malheur Enterprise sued to obtain the details under the state public records law.

Adrian school officials weren't enforcing Oregon's mandatory mask rules in September, an investigation by Oregon OSHA concluded. The Adrian School District plans to contest the citation.
