A 36-year-old Nyssa man was killed Sunday in what police are saying was a gang-related crime. A relative of the victim has since disputed the police narrative surrounding the killing.

The fire on Wednesday, July 7, burned 100 acres of private land between Brogan and Ironside before Vale BLM and other agencies contained the fire.

The Vale 4th of July Rodeo and Oregon Trail Days once again combined to create one of Vale's most exciting weekends of the year. The four-day event began Thursday and was capped with fireworks Sunday night.
