Butte fire still under investigation
The blaze that ignited on Wednesday afternoon scorched 184 acres. BLM officials say the fire originated within Ontario Rural Fire Protection District jurisdiction near Malheur Butte. The fire was contained by the evening, but the cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
