Jordan Valley girls basketball team set to play for fourth place at state tournament

BAKER CITY – The Jordan Valley High School girls basketball team will face North Douglas at 8 a.m. Saturday, March 4, in a fourth/sixth place contest at the Class 1A state basketball tournament at Baker High School.

The Mustangs dropped a 43-26 decision to No. 1-ranked Crane Wednesday, March 1, in first-round tournament action but rebounded Thursday, March 2, with a 61-56 win over Country Christian.

Against Crane, Jordan Valley’s Jill Gammett paced the Mustang attack with eight points.

In the game against Country Christian, Gammett poured in 19 points while teammate Kenzie Tuttle scored 15.
