Coming Up: Moonlight Madness, a turkey dinner and more holiday events

MOONLIGHT: Early deals on toys, games, décor, gifts, outdoor apparel and more await at businesses in Vale on Friday, Nov. 18. 

It’s the annual Moonlight Madness event, with sales and activities throughout downtown.

More than 20 vendors and businesses are participating this year in the event spearheaded by Malheur Drug. 

TURKEY: Vale’s community Thanksgiving dinner is offered from 12 noon to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 24. The location is new this year: Vale Elementary School, 403 E St. W.

The meals are free and everyone is welcome. The menu includes turkey, all the trimmings, and pie.

BAZAAR: The Boulevard Grange Christmas Bazaar will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 25-26, featuring handcrafted gifts and other items. The Grange is north of the Cairo Junction.

SPIRIT: Four Rivers Cultural Center presents the Christmas Spirit and Lighting Celebration on Dec. 3 at the center in Ontario. The festivities run from 5 to 8 p.m. Admission is free.

MEMORIES: Santa Claus will be at Atkinson Dental at 130 Court St. S. in Vale for photos with children from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8. Free photos will be loaded on the Atkinson Facebook page.

Tuesday, Nov. 22

• Pioneer Nursing Home Health District board meeting, rescheduled from Nov. 15, 3 p.m., conference room at Vale Senior Center.

• Vale City Council meeting, 7 p.m., City Hall.
