NYSSA NEWS: School class selling tickets for Bulldog blanket drawing

Nyssa High School’s Class of 2023 is holding a raffle for a beautiful king-size Bulldog blanket made and donated by Adriana Caldera. 

Tickets are $5 each available for purchase at the high school office. The drawing will be held the end of November. Proceeds go to the Class of 2023.

• The Nyssa Senior Citizens are ramping up their activities. Lunches are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon to 1 p.m. Bingo is at 10 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Note that the Thursday evening bingo has moved to the morning.

A dance featuring the Dale Borge Band is set for 6-9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5,  at the senior center. The cost is $5. Finger food welcome, no hot foods please.

 • Craft Day at the Nyssa Library is offered on the first and third Wednesdays from 3-5 p.m. Storytime for preschoolers is at 11 a.m. Tuesdays.

• Fall decorations around town have added a bit of festivity to the season. Thank you to everyone who made scarecrows for the chamber’s contest and decorated with pumpkins, flowers and the beautiful colors of fall.
