Adrian wins league title with win over Union, opens football playoffs at home

The Adrian Lopes kept their season record perfect with a 66-20 win over the Union Bobcats in Adrian on Friday, Oct. 28.

The win gave the Lopes the High Desert League title with a 6-0 league record and 7-2 overall.

They go into the first round of state playoffs with a home game at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, against the Dufur Rangers.

The Rangers beat Ione/Arlington 48-8 on Thursday, Oct. 27. They have been in high-scoring games recently, beating Lyle/Wishram/Klickitat 50-32 on Oct. 21 and Pilot Rock 60-32 on Oct. 7.

The Lopes beat Pilot Rock 96-0 in the second game of the season.

Both teams also faced Crane. Adrian won 38-16 while Dufur lost 38-8.
