Soccer teams advance in state playoffs while Adrian’s volleyball run ends

The girls soccer team from Four Rivers won its opening state playoff match on Saturday and advances to the second round on Wednesday, Nov. 2.

The Falcons are 10-2-3 overall.

The Ontario girls soccer team earned a state playoff berth with its win on Saturday. The Tigers are 7-5 overall.

And football teams from Vale, Ontario and Adrian are set to open state playoffs on Friday, Nov. 4.

Girls soccer playoffs – Saturday, Oct. 29:

Ontario 3, Estacada 0

Four Rivers 2, Blanchet Catholic 1

Vale 40, Burns 7

Ontario 44, Nyssa 14

            NEXT UP: Ontario v. Cascade Christian, Friday, Nov. 4 – 7 p.m.

Adrian 66, Union 20

            NEXT UP: Dufur Rangers at Adrian (6-0 league) Friday, Nov. 4 – 1 p.m.

            Winner plays Lost River in Merrill on Friday, Nov. 11.
