LETTER: Come to the Vale FFA Auction

To the Community:

Here’s an update on the 29th annual VALE FFA Scholarship Foundation Auction that is coming up in mid-October.

This year, the auction will be held at the Vale School Bus Shed beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15.

The Vale FFA Scholarship Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit entity, assists Vale High School vocational/agriculture graduates with post-high school education and specialized training, as well as travel for Vale FFA individuals and teams who qualify for competition at the National FFA Assembly. All donations are tax deductible.

Besides auction items, the Foundation is also equipped to accept cash donations, memorial dedications and endowments.

We as a community should come forward and help these young people, they are the future leaders of our community and country.

Last year alone, the Foundation gave away $11,500 in scholarship money – perhaps to one of your children or grandchildren. Counting this year back to 1992 they have given 207 scholarships for a total of $225,445. Without your help through donations either in money, auction items or buying at the auction, this would not have happened.

Watch for a list of items in a “drop out” in the Malheur Enterprise this coming week.

So, will I see you at the auction on the 15th of October?

I sure hope so.
