NYSSA NEWS: Carnival fun set for Friday

The Nyssa Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization invites the community to the annual School Carnival on Friday, Sept. 23, at Mac Hall on the elementary school grounds.

Doors open at 5 p.m. for activities including dinner, carnival games, and a silent auction.

A full taco dinner prepared by La Esmeralda’s restaurant will be available for purchase. Enjoy dinner and time to visit. For those with youngsters, the next stop will be the carnival games or perhaps some popcorn.

The silent auction will offer more than 20 items donated by the Nyssa business community and community members.

The carnival is an important fundraiser for the PTO, generating funds used throughout the year in support of teachers and students at the elementary school. This is a great opportunity to join the organization, help with the carnival and learn about volunteer opportunities during the school year.

For the community, whether you have students at the elementary school or not, the carnival is a great time to come together in support of students and teachers. Visit their Facebook page at Nyssa Elementary PTO or contact them at [email protected].
