Vale volleyball wins league opener, defeating Nyssa

The Vale Vikings opened league play on Thursday, Sept. 15, with a 3-1 win over the Nyssa Bulldogs.

The Vikings won 25-19, 25-13, 21-25, 25-10 in the Eastern Oregon League opener.

The Bulldogs split play on Saturday, Sept. 17, in the Parma Tournament, defeating Compass Charter 2-0 and losing to New Plymouth 2-1.

The Bulldogs have a 3-7 overall record and are 0-2 in league play.

The Vikings are 1-0 in league play and hold a 3-8 overall record for the season.
