In a tradition a century old, Vale welcome cowboys, spectators and rough stock to town for the annual Vale 4th of July Rodeo. The rodeo opened a four-day run on Friday, July 1.

Besides the rodeo, residents and visitors had plenty to keep them busy. Oregon Trail Days featured vendors and exhibits at Wadleigh Park. There was the car show, the quilt show and street dancing. The pride of a small town was on full display.
