ONTARIO - Thousands of people enjoyed eight showings of Willy Wonka Jr. at the Four Rivers Cultural Center between Thursday, Nov. 21 through Saturday, Nov. 23.
Four different casts consisting of 187 kids participated in the musical, which was produced by the Four Rivers Children’s Community Theatre and adapted from the feature film.
According to Ruthie Carlson, the theatre’s director, about 700 area school children came to each of four free showings, a total of 2,800 kids. The other four shows were open to the public and about 2,000 people attended.
