Treasure Valley Community College

Career & Technical Education Center Project

The purpose of the ITB is to establish a Construction Contract for Career & Technical Education Center at Treasure Valley Community College. The Work under this Contract includes all labor, materials, transportation, equipment and services for, and incidental to, the completion of all construction Work in connection with the project described in the Contract Documents.

Sealed bids will be received by Treasure Valley Community College, 650 College Boulevard, Ontario, Oregon 97914, until 2:00 p.m., Mountain Standard Time, on Tuesday, November 12, 2019, for the above project located on the campus in Ontario, Oregon. Sealed bids will be received by Bernie Babcock at Treasure Valley Community College, 650 College Boulevard, Ontario, OR, 97914. Hand delivered sealed bids will be received by Bernie Babcock in the Science Building, College Board Room, at Treasure Valley Community College from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Mountain Standard Time, on Tuesday, November 12, 2019.

PROJECT ESTIMATE:

The following range is a project estimate for bonding purposes: $6 – 6.5 million.

FUNDS FOR THIS PROJECT TVCC REVENUE, STATE OF OREGON MATCHING FUNDS AND FEDERAL EDA GRANT. THIS PROJECT WILL BE PARITIALLY FUNDED WITH FEDERAL FUNDS FROM THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ADMISTRATION AND THEREFORE IS SUBJECT TO THE FEDERAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS ASSOCIATED WITH THAT PROGRAM.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Construction of a single story addition and remodel of the existing Vo-Tech building for the Career & Technical Education Center (CTE) on the Treasure Valley Community College (TVCC) Campus in Ontario, Oregon. The building is Type III-B Construction with Occupancy Types F-1 and B. The total building and fire area which includes mechanical mezzanine is 26,955 square feet. The addition building area is 12,015 square feet. The scope of the work includes:

Existing –

Demolition of vertical circulation including elevator, walls and floors. Remodel existing toilet rooms. New interior and exterior paint. New TPO roof. New mechanical and ventilation system including air filtration system for welding. New 408 – 3 Phase power brought into building but not distributed. New LED light fixtures. New Fire Alarm and Data/Comm. New photo-voltaic system mounted to existing material storage canopy with minor structural upgrades. Existing fire sprinkler system will be revised per new layout with a new, pre-action system installed over existing material storage canopy.

Addition – New concrete foundation slab on grade. Steel column and open-web steel joist with metal deck. Exterior walls are primarily metal stud with rigid insulation and metal panels. Exterior windows are aluminum storefront. Roof is TPO. Interior walls are metal with painted gypsum board. Scope also includes hollow metal frames and doors, flush wood doors and associated hardware. Finishes include carpet, porcelain tile, acoustical ceiling tile and paint. Systems include fire protection, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, communications and security. Sitework includes earthwork, utilities, plantings and paving.
