ONTARIO - Calling all kids who want to be painted orange and don a green wig — the Children’s Community Theater is holding auditions for its fall production of Roald Dahl’s “Willy Wonka Jr.”

The auditions, taking place Thursday, Sept. 12, Saturday, Sept. 14 and Monday, Sept. 16, are “very laid back,” according to theater director Ruthie Carlson.

Thespians will have vocal exercises to assess their projection and vocal range for placement in the chorus. Kids needn’t worry about having all eyes on them, Carlson said, as the auditions are in groups.
